PROFESSIONAL WORK EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE ALL THE TIME OF CAME TO CHECKUP MY EYE .Posted on Google Yasin ATrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recently took my mum to the Harley Street Eye Centre, and I honestly cannot praise them enough. She was quite hesitant about going when it comes to your eyes, you don’t take any chances, and you need to be in the hands of people you can truly trust. From the moment we walked in, any nerves she had just melted away. The staff were incredibly professional, warm, and reassuring throughout the entire experience. They made my mum feel completely at ease, which for someone who was apprehensive about an eye appointment, meant the world to us. Nothing felt rushed, and you could tell they genuinely cared about their patients. They examined her thoroughly, gave a clear diagnosis, and sorted the issue without any fuss. The whole process was smooth, straightforward, and stress-free from start to finish. If you or a loved one are looking for an eye clinic where you’ll be treated with the utmost care and expertise, look no further than the Harley Street Eye Centre. Absolutely first class. We’ll be coming back without hesitation.Posted on Google Pablo KTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Good staff amazing customer servicePosted on Google Robynne HTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had a great experience with this clinic from start to finish. The whole team were friendly, helpful, supportive, and incredibly professional throughout the process. They gave me all the information I needed and seemed to be very thorough during the assessment, which made me feel confident and well informed before going ahead with treatment. During the laser eye surgery itself, I felt completely reassured and in highly professional hands. The staff were calm, supportive, and talked me through everything, which really helped put me at ease. I’m over 40 and had an over/under correction approach to hopefully reduce the need for reading glasses in the future, and the team explained everything clearly so I felt comfortable with the decision. Just a few days after my LASIK treatment, I already have better than 20/20 vision and it’s crazy to see everything in what feels like HD. I also have thin corneas, so I wasn’t sure if I’d even be suitable for surgery, which makes the outcome even more amazing for me. I’m pleased I decided to go ahead with the procedure and would highly recommend this clinic to anyone considering laser eye surgery.Posted on Google Jill STrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I underwent LASIK surgery at Harley Street Eye Centre in March and would like to share my very positive experience. The entire process was handled with a high level of professionalism and care. Dr Ghabara, who performed my surgery, demonstrated exceptional expertise, and the procedure itself was smooth and remarkably efficient. The overall experience was excellent. I would also like to acknowledge Dr Hakam, who served as client coordinator and ensured that every stage of the process was clearly explained and well organised. In addition, April and Amanda at reception provided consistently courteous and attentive service, contributing to a welcoming and well-managed environment. I am particularly pleased to report that my recovery has been entirely uneventful, with no issues following the LASIK procedure, and I am extremely satisfied with the outcome. I would confidently recommend Harley Street Eye Clinic to anyone considering laser eye surgery.Posted on Google Antonio BTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Who We are
The Harley Street Eye Centre at 22a was founded in 2018 by Mr Marwan Ghabra around a quiet conviction – that real ophthalmic care begins in conversation with the surgeon who will perform the procedure, not with a call centre. Forty years of clinical practice live behind that idea, including the first phacoemulsification cataract surgery in Damascus and the technique that now carries his name.
From routine refractive surgery to the corneal and retinal cases other clinics turn away, every patient is met in person, scanned with the same diagnostic suite used for our most complex referrals, and given a plan built around their eyes – not a template.

Mr Marwan Ghabra
An internationally renowned ophthalmic surgeon with more than four decades of clinical and surgical practice, Mr Ghabra is the originator of the Ghabra Technique for keratoconus and the founder of the Harley Street Eye Centre.
Trained in the UK and Damascus, he performed the first phacoemulsification cataract surgery in Syria in 1998 and went on to train generations of ophthalmologists at Barts Health NHS Trust. His Monday surgical list is reserved for the complex cases other surgeons send to him.

The Ghabra Technique.
The Ghabra Technique is a femtosecond laser-assisted method for implanting collagen lenticules deep within the corneal stroma – designed to correct both anterior and posterior corneal irregularities in advanced keratoconus, and to preserve native tissue where transplant would otherwise be the only option.
Developed by Mr Marwan Ghabra in partnership with Gebauer Meditech and our innovation arm MAG Optics, the technique is now part of a broader keratoconus journey we offer to patients flown in from across the UK, the Gulf and the United States.

The technology behind your care
We chose every laser, every scanner and every implant on the same principle – that the surgeon’s decision is only as good as the data behind it.
Imaging, surgical and diagnostic platforms refreshed continuously since 2018. Two femtosecond and two excimer lasers in-house. Same imaging kit used for our complex referrals as for routine appointments.

Frequently Asked Questions
Something specific on your mind?
We’re one call away on 0203 968 2030.
How do I book a consultation?
Call 0203 968 2030, WhatsApp us, or use the form on this page. A patient coordinator will arrange a time directly – most enquiries are seen the same week, and complex cases often the same day.
Will I see Mr Ghabra himself?
Yes — every initial consultation is consultant-led, by Mr Marwan Ghabra or one of our named senior consultants. No call centre, no sales team, no juniors fronting the clinical decisions.
What does a consultation cost?
Initial consultations are £300, including vision check, autorefraction and any diagnostic scan needed. Laser vision correction and presbyopia assessments are complimentary. Follow-ups are £250; post-operative reviews are free.
Do you accept self-referrals?
Yes. A GP or optometrist referral is welcome but not required. We accept patients from across the UK, the Gulf and internationally.
What treatments do you cover?
Laser vision correction (LASIK, Trans-PRK, SMILE, blended vision), lens surgery (cataract, RLE, ICL), keratoconus (cross-linking, CAIRS, Xenia, topo-guided LRS, the Ghabra Technique, transplant), retina, dry eye, glaucoma, paediatrics, squint and oculoplastic surgery.
How quickly will I be seen?
Same-day appointments are available across most specialties. Urgent vitrectomy can be scheduled within 48 hours when clinically required.
Can I split treatment over interest-free instalments?
Yes — 0% interest financing is available on most procedures. Your patient coordinator will walk you through eligibility during your consultation.
Is the clinic regulated?
The Harley Street Eye Centre is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and operates under strict clinical governance, infection control and audit protocols.
