PROFESSIONAL WORK EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE ALL THE TIME OF CAME TO CHECKUP MY EYE .Posted on Google Yasin ATrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recently took my mum to the Harley Street Eye Centre, and I honestly cannot praise them enough. She was quite hesitant about going when it comes to your eyes, you donโt take any chances, and you need to be in the hands of people you can truly trust. From the moment we walked in, any nerves she had just melted away. The staff were incredibly professional, warm, and reassuring throughout the entire experience. They made my mum feel completely at ease, which for someone who was apprehensive about an eye appointment, meant the world to us. Nothing felt rushed, and you could tell they genuinely cared about their patients. They examined her thoroughly, gave a clear diagnosis, and sorted the issue without any fuss. The whole process was smooth, straightforward, and stress-free from start to finish. If you or a loved one are looking for an eye clinic where youโll be treated with the utmost care and expertise, look no further than the Harley Street Eye Centre. Absolutely first class. Weโll be coming back without hesitation.Posted on Google Pablo KTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Good staff amazing customer servicePosted on Google Robynne HTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had a great experience with this clinic from start to finish. The whole team were friendly, helpful, supportive, and incredibly professional throughout the process. They gave me all the information I needed and seemed to be very thorough during the assessment, which made me feel confident and well informed before going ahead with treatment. During the laser eye surgery itself, I felt completely reassured and in highly professional hands. The staff were calm, supportive, and talked me through everything, which really helped put me at ease. Iโm over 40 and had an over/under correction approach to hopefully reduce the need for reading glasses in the future, and the team explained everything clearly so I felt comfortable with the decision. Just a few days after my LASIK treatment, I already have better than 20/20 vision and itโs crazy to see everything in what feels like HD. I also have thin corneas, so I wasnโt sure if Iโd even be suitable for surgery, which makes the outcome even more amazing for me. Iโm pleased I decided to go ahead with the procedure and would highly recommend this clinic to anyone considering laser eye surgery.Posted on Google Jill STrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I underwent LASIK surgery at Harley Street Eye Centre in March and would like to share my very positive experience. The entire process was handled with a high level of professionalism and care. Dr Ghabara, who performed my surgery, demonstrated exceptional expertise, and the procedure itself was smooth and remarkably efficient. The overall experience was excellent. I would also like to acknowledge Dr Hakam, who served as client coordinator and ensured that every stage of the process was clearly explained and well organised. In addition, April and Amanda at reception provided consistently courteous and attentive service, contributing to a welcoming and well-managed environment. I am particularly pleased to report that my recovery has been entirely uneventful, with no issues following the LASIK procedure, and I am extremely satisfied with the outcome. I would confidently recommend Harley Street Eye Clinic to anyone considering laser eye surgery.Posted on Google Antonio BTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The Centre offers cosmetic eyelid surgery (also known as eyelid lift / eye-bag / โeye rejuvenationโ surgery) for upper and/or lower eyelids. This may involve removing or repositioning excess skin, fat, or muscle, to address droopy lids, puffiness, under-eye bags, or sagging skin.
Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) is a procedure targeting excess tissue around the eyelids โ the surgeon makes incisions (on the eyelid crease or below eyelashes/inside lower lid), removes or repositions excess skin, fat and sometimes muscle, and then carefully closes the incisions (often with dissolvable stitches) to create a smoother, firmer eyelid contour.ย
Upper-eyelid blepharoplasty is suitable for people experiencing sagging or droopy upper eyelid skin (sometimes โhoodedโ lids), excess upper-lid fat or skin that descends with age, or eyelid heaviness that may even impair peripheral vision. It can rejuvenate the eye-area and restore a more alert, youthful appearance.
Lower-eyelid surgery can help those suffering from under-eye bags, puffiness, protruding fat pads, or sagging skin beneath the eyes. It aims to smooth the transition from eyelid to cheek, reducing the โtiredโ or โagedโ appearance.
Many patients choose combined upper and lower eyelid surgery for a comprehensive rejuvenation.
In many cases, blepharoplasty can be performed under local anaesthesia โ sometimes with light sedation โ depending on patient suitability and preference.
You can expect a refreshed, more youthful appearance, smoother eyelids, reduction in puffiness or under-eye bags, and a more rested eye-area overall. The results of blepharoplasty are long-lasting; since excess tissue is removed or repositioned, the rejuvenated contours tend to remain stable for many years. However, natural ageing continues (skin elasticity declines, etc).
Good candidates are generally adults with healthy eyes and realistic expectations who are concerned with drooping eyelids or under-eye bags that affect appearance โ or even function (e.g. obstructed vision from hooded lids). Age is not strictly limiting; suitability depends on eyelid anatomy, skin condition, overall health, and surgeonโs assessment.
As with any surgical procedure, there are risks: temporary swelling or bruising, discomfort or tightness, possible asymmetry, visible scarring (though incisions are placed along natural creases or inside lids), and less commonly โ breathing or healing complications. Detailed assessment and careful patient selection help mitigate risks.
Not always โ dark circles are often caused by pigmentation, shadowing, or thinning skin rather than just excess fat or skin. While removal or repositioning of fat/puffiness can reduce hollowness and make eyes appear brighter, blepharoplasty may not eliminate pigmentation or inherited under-eye darkness.
Yes โ if excess upper-lid skin droops over the lash line or into peripheral vision, upper-lid blepharoplasty can improve or restore the field of vision by lifting the lids and removing obstructive tissue.ย
The Centre offers a careful, consultant-led evaluation: assessing eyelid anatomy, vision, patient goals, and overall ocular health before recommending upper, lower or combined blepharoplasty. They tailor the surgical plan to each individualโs needs โ whether cosmetic, functional, or both.
Important discussion points include: your aesthetic goals, whether puffiness comes from fat or just skin laxity, any vision issues/field obstruction, skin quality, general health (healing ability), and realistic expectations for results and downtime. These help determine whether upper-lid, lower-lid or combined surgery โ or alternative/non-surgical treatments โ is most appropriate.
Youโll receive guidance on pre-surgery preparation (e.g. avoiding certain medications, arranging transport home). After surgery, gentle care of the eyelid area, keeping head elevated, avoiding strenuous activity, protecting eyes from sun/wind, and following surgeon instructions for ointments or drops are typical. Healing times vary, but most people feel ready for public appearance within 1โ2 weeks, though full settling may take a few more weeks.
Your cosmetic eye surgery assessment is complimentary. An hour with our diagnostic team and a real conversation with the surgeon who would treat you. No obligation.
