An innovative, minimally invasive solution to strengthen and reshape the corneaโ€”tailored to your stage of keratoconus.

What is the xenia collagen implant?

The Xenia Collagen Implant is a bioengineered corneal insert designed to provide structural support and visual enhancement in patients with keratoconus. It comes in two anatomical formsโ€”each tailored to address different stages and patterns of the disease:

  • Lenticule Form: A small disc-shaped implant inserted into the corneal stroma to increase thickness and reinforce areas of advanced thinning.
  • Ring Form: A curved ring segment placed within the cornea to flatten the cone and regularise the shape, improving clarity and focus.
  • Advanced diagnostics and treatment planning
  • Choice of lenticule or ring implant based on anatomy and progression
  • Implantation using the Ghabra Technique
  • Postoperative care and integration assessment
  • Follow-up for visual optimisation

Benefits of the Xenia Collagen Implant:

  • Corneal Reinforcement: Strengthens the cornea to halt or slow progression.
  • Improved Vision: Smooths the corneal surface, reducing distortions and improving acuity.
  • Minimally Invasive: An alternative to transplant surgery with faster recovery.
  • Customisable: Two forms available for varying disease patterns.
  • Rapid Recovery: Many patients return to normal activities within days.
